St Barths

I grilled up some gorgeous mahi mahi that our local friend got for us from the fish market. Yum.

Traveling Cousins

Katy and I are traveling again! We started at 6am in NYC and finally made our way to St Barths by the end of the day. Here we are tired on our third flight from St Marteen to our island. We are staying at a friend's house high up on a hill overlooking St Jean beach. We read, cook, swim, apply sunscreen, and then repeat. Life is good.

Christmas Cookies

I made gingersnap cookies for all my friends for Christmas and delivered them Friday with hand drawn cards. I leave Maun on Monday for NYC but will be back in February.

Sunday Feast

My contribution to lunch was a peach and almond cake. A few peas showed up in the paella but otherwise it was a hedonistic lunch among a dozen friends.

Paella with hake, pork, chicken, mussels, AND prawns cooked outside on braziers. Yum.

Ostrich Farm

These are my new neighbors. Better than crocodiles (done that) and maybe I can even collect some fancy male feathers and make myself a homemade feather duster.
