This is the really good bridge that gives me access to the tar road, as opposed to the really bad, dangerous bridge that gives me access in a more roundabout way. The bridge was built by our local mission (supported by a church in Texas) and once they can get a chain gate up with an "aggressive" guard (I heard it from the woman in charge) they will be collecting a toll from everyone who passes. It doesn't matter if you are a safari owner, goat farmer, or in a donkey cart. That is their plan anyway unless they feel God's eternal shame beforehand.

Friend, thanks for appreciating the Bridge Love Botswana Built at entirely their cost. This project was carried out to help the mission as well as it's neighbors in the Boro ward with the recent flooding. While the mission did consider how they would pay for the ongoing cost to maintain the road and bridge by excessive use of safari operators and business people like yourself, the decision was made to allow everyone to use the private road and bridge with no obligation.
ReplyDeleteShould you or others benefiting from the bridge have a free day to help out with the ongoing maintenance I think God would smile on that, I know I would.
